What-If Reports (Mobile)

Overview

View  and Run a What-If Report

This topic will give you a basic understanding of how to run a What-If Report.

First we will describe what a "What-If Report" is. Below is the description that is provided on the What-If page. 

You may be thinking of changing your program of study and wonder how that change would affect your progress. You can use this component to set up and request a simulated or "what-if" advisement report based on alternate programs of study. 

Now we will go over how you will run and view a What-If report.

Expand the Academics section in your left menu and select the What-If link.

If you have used the What-If report previously you can view the previous reports at the bottom of the What-If Page by clicking the View Report button

 

Viewing previous reports

 

Select the Create Report button to display the Create Scenario page.

Note: On a smaller screen device or in the mobile application select the Start button on the New Report page to get to the Career Scenario

In the Career Scenario section input Undergraduate for the Career and then select the Term in which you would like to make the change from the drop down options.

Note: On a smaller screen device or in the mobile application select the Next button to go to the Program Scenario section

 

Career Scenario Selections

 

In the Program Scenario section, use the drop downs to select the Program, Plan and start Term you are considering.  If you are considering more than one program of study, you can select the Add Scenario button to add additional program plan options.

Note: Many Program plans do not have a Sub-plan and you may not have any selections in this drop down. On a smaller screen device or in the mobile application select the Next button to go to the Course Scenario page

The Course Scenario section allows students to add courses in which the student has not yet enrolled to the What-If to see how those specific courses impact their degree options.  This can be left blank if the student does not have courses to add. 

Note: On a smaller screen device or in the mobile application select the Next button to go to the Submit Report page

Once all selections are completed, click the Submit Report button to generate the What-If

 

Course Scenario Page options

 

The What-If Report will display.  Student may select to view the report as a PDF by clicking the  View PDF button or select the arrow to the right of the program to view requirements.

Note: The pdf will open as a popup, new window or appear in the download section of your browser depending on which browser and device type you are using.

 

Degree What-If requirements view

 

Select the arrow to the left of the requirement to expand the requirement details

Select the View Course button to view the courses that satisfy each requirement

Similar to the Degree Progress page, during enrollment periods, students may View Sections and Enroll or add courses to their Planner from these menus
