Your Canvas Dashboard
One way to use this orientation is to read the information here. Another way is to have your Canvas open in two places. Open this orientation in one place and have your Highline Canvas account open in another place. (For example, you might make two tabs on different monitors. You can do this at any computer lab on campus. Or you might open your Canvas account on a computer, and open the orientation on a tablet or phone.) If you have both this orientation and your Canvas account open, you can try the steps while looking at the instructions.
This is what your Canvas dashboard will look like when you first log in. Click on the blue checkmarks to learn more about each part of the dashboard.
If you would like to make the image full-sized, there is an "expand" button on the upper right side of the image, next to the Highline College logo. If you can't see the image of your desktop, make sure you have allowed pop-ups on your browser.
Once you are on the dashboard, you will click the course card for your class. This is the square that has the name of the course and an image on it. Each of your courses will look a little different, but there are some common things to look for. Click on the purple checkmarks to read more about each area of the course dashboard.
