Week 10: Other Worlds - writing

Purpose

You will complete the writing prompt below, through writing about based on the prompt, you will: 

• Demonstrate your understanding of the information in this module by using the concepts and definitions correctly. 
• Demonstrate critical thinking by analyzing, conceptualizing, synthesizing, and communicating the concepts in this module through both writing and creating art.

Task

You are to complete the writing prompt listed below.

Writing Prompt: Art & the Spirit

1. Answer all of the questions
2. Meet the writing specifications:
   
   • 1.5 line spacing
   • 12 point font
   • Embed the image of the artwork you are referencing in your document, site the culture, name of the piece, and artist (if one can be found)

Using the External Links, find a work of art from a culture other than your own that represents a form of spirituality. Please embed the image of the artwork you are writing about within your document.

• Explain why you chose the work you did, and how it represents the spirit.
• Elaborate on the form and how it supports spirituality.
• Discuss the context in which the artwork was made and how it is used within the culture.
• What do you think the myth(s) are that are the genesis of this artwork.
