To turn homework in and receive credit, you must have the ability to photograph your work and upload digital images of your work. You can use one of the following devices:
- Digital Camera
- Smart Phone
Instructions for Photography
- Photograph during the day. Choose a bright, well lit room using natural light. Or go outside.
- Avoid photographing at night or using flash
- Position your work flat on a table etc. and photograph with your camera directly above, parallel (level) to your piece. The edges of your work should line up with two sides of the viewfinder on your camera.
- After you have taken a good image, crop out any background using your phone or computer.

Above Left: AVOID! Taken in low light, artificial light indoors/at night
Above Middle: AWESOME! Taken in bright natural daylight
Above Right: SOLUTION- Photograph during the day, near a window, open door, or go outside.
Above Left: AVOID! Artwork distorted from photographing at an angle
Above Middle: AWESOME! Artwork photographed parallel to the camera from above
Above Right: SOLUTION- Line up two of the edges of your piece with the edge of the viewfinder or use your cameras grid feature.
Above Left: AVOID! Artwork background remains in photograph
Above Middle: AWESOME! Artwork is cropped with no extra background
Above Right: SOLUTION- Select Edit, and look for the crop icon above in your devices photo viewer. Drag the crop window until all of the background is removed. Voila! Save your image.
