Introduction to Week 6

Overview:

You will be filling out a class evaluation this week. This will give you a chance to let me know how to make the class better.  The Canvas topic for this week is tag questions and negative questions. 

Why these topics are important:

Tag questions and negative questions are used when the speaker what confirmation or thinks he or she know the answer but just wants to be sure. They are very common, so it's important for ESL students to understand them and use them successfully.

By the end of this week you should be able to:

• Take one quizzes successfully on tag questions
• Complete two writing and editing activities about tag questions
• Complete a speaking assignment in which you use negative questions
