C.R.A.A.P. as a Tool
The acronym C.R.A.A.P. is an easy way to remember what you need to consider when evaluating information. Plus, it's kind of funny.
C = Currency - How recent is the information?
R = Relevance - Does the information relate to your topic or answer your question?
A = Authority - Who is the author and what are their credentials?
A = Accuracy - Is the information supported by evidence?
P = Purpose/Point-of-View - Is the information meant to educate, persuade, sell, or entertain?
