Sharing Screens and Breakout Rooms in Zoom

These are commonly used features when using Zoom in a class. 

Screen sharing

This is a good way to show a PowerPoint presentation or other demonstration. You can share any app you want. It's best to share apps, and not your entire desktop. 

• You can even play video. Remember to click the "Share Sound" and "Optimize for Video Clip" if you do.
  
• If you're sharing a browser, check to make sure there aren't any open tabs you might be embarrassed about. (Bookmark that Tears for Fears page for a different time.)

Breakout rooms

If you have students break out into small groups in class, Zoom breakouts do the same thing. 

• Students can be assigned specifically by you, or can be assigned randomly.
