How pass rates are calculated
For Highline, “pass rates” pull from student transcript data. The last day to withdraw without a “W” on the transcript is Friday of Week 3. Therefore , if a student withdraws after Friday of week 3, they have a “W” showing on their transcript, so they would be in the data. If they withdraw before Friday of week 3, they would not be in the data, since nothing reflects on their transcript.
Passing grades are defined as:
- a numeric grade of 2.0 or higher
- a “C” for a C/NC class
- a “P” for a P/NP class
