Offer review sessions and office hours on Zoom

Zoom Links to an external site. is online web conferencing software. If you have a computer with a microphone, a web cam, or both, you can host a session. The free version provides up to 40 minutes of conference time. When you’re ready to upgrade to the Pro version, contact the Help Desk at helpdesk@highline.edu.

• Zoom Mobile (iOS Links to an external site., Android Links to an external site.) is available, so students can participate via phone or tablet; and so can you.
• Zoom also allows phone dial in, so students can hear the audio of the call. 

A few tips:

• Use the screen sharing to show students what’s on a particular window of your computer. 
• Students can share their screen.
• If you schedule a review session or other instruction live, record it and post it to Canvas for students who couldn’t make it. 
• Students can ask questions with audio or with the chat on the system.
• Make sure your Zoom waiting room Links to an external site. is enabled, otherwise other students can drop in any time during your one-on-one meeting with student.
• Wear pants or other bottom-half covering. Just in general, that's a good idea.
