Academic Advising
If you have an assigned faculty advisor, it is best to schedule an appointment with your faculty advisor. Many instructors have career experience, are knowledgeable about campus resources, and can help you reach your educational goals through degree planning. Academic Success Centers
Tutoring Center
The Tutoring Center provides online academic support to all Highline students in subjects such as chemistry, biology, business, computer science, accounting, psychology, world languages, and more. Online tutoring appointments can be scheduled for 30 minutes at a time and are conducted through Zoom.

Math Resource Center
The Math Resource Center provides online academic support for most math levels so you can gain a better understanding of the mathematical ideas in your classes. Online math tutoring appointments can be scheduled for 20 minutes at a time and are conducted through Zoom.
Writing Center
Peer Writing Consultants, successful students who receive training and certification, are available to help you understand assignments, brainstorm for ideas, and learn to develop, focus, organize, and edit your writing. Online writing tutoring appointments can be scheduled for 25 minutes or 50 minutes at a time and are conducted through Zoom.

Access Services

Counseling Center

Library
The library can answer research questions. While the building is closed, we’ll still be available to answer questions online through email and chat services.
We offer one-on-one assistance. Want to get more personalized expert help with a research assignment? We offer virtual student research consultations.
- Consultations are in-depth, one-on-one sessions with a librarian.
- You can get help with: keyword searches, refining a research question, citation and documentation of sources, source assessment (determining reliability of sources), database use/selection, or searching Google.
- After our virtual research consultation, we can email you a signed copy of our consultation form to submit to your instructor(s) via Canvas.
