Final writing test : My Hometown

Important:  Please don’t check dictionary or cellphone for words.  Also please don’t ask anyone to help you because it is a test !!!

Click on the submit button on the top and go down to type your writing into the box. When finish, "click on submit button" again. 

Instruction:   Write  TWO  paragraphs on the topic “My Hometown”

1)   Write about the city or town you grew up. 

2)   Paragraph 1 ( at least 6 sentences): For example, you can write about

  • Which city and country did you grow up? 
  • Who did you live with there?
  • Were there many people in your city/ hometown?
  • How was your hometown like?  (For example: trees, rivers, mountains, sea, tall buildings, cars )
  • What did you do when you lived in your hometown? 
  • What did you like the most about your hometown?

Remember you have to write:

  • a topic sentence
  • conclusion sentence
  • Use at least 1 compound and 1 complex sentence.
  • Use transition words

 3) Paragraph 2 (at least 6 sentences):  write about the differences between your hometown and the city you live in the United States.

  • When did you come to the United States?
  • Why did you move / come here? 
  • Which city do you live in the United States?
  • What are the differences between your hometown and the city you live in the United States?
  • Which city do you like better, your hometown or the city you live right now? Why?
  • Will you go back to your hometown someday? Why?

Remember you have to write:
