Welcome to the Searching Databases module made available to you through the Highline College Library.
This module will help us:
- Understand the difference between searching library databases and the web
- Identify keywords and search terms
- Combine keywords and search terms using AND, OR, NOT, and quotation marks
- Choose the best database for our topic
- Search databases
- Collect articles and citations for our research
- Practice creating usable search terms
- Practice searching a database
This module will take approximately 45 minutes to read and watch.
