    • DO NOT watch the 1959 version directed by Douglas Sirk. Well, you can watch it if you want but you won't be able to answer any of the questions on the quiz and the lecture probably won't make sense. I can't emphasize this enough (every quarter two or three students end up watching the wrong version): IF YOU ARE WATCHING A MOVIE THAT IS IN COLOR THEN YOU ARE WATCHING THE WRONG MOVIE.
