Calendar - What do great calendars look like?

In the gradebook module, I mentioned that it was important to keep your assignment titles short so that they wouldn't create excessively wide columns. These short titles are also crucial for your calendar. Long, unwieldy titles can distort the look of your calendar.

In the screenshot below, you'll see that that the height of each week is irregular. This is to be expected and is generally not too distracting as long those irregularities are contained. 

You can also customize the color for each course. Keep in mind, however, that whatever color you choose will have no bearing on what the student sees as each student can also customize how her or his classes appear in their calendar.
