Assignment 5A: Customize Navigation

These first few pages covered the left navigation for Canvas. For this assignment, modify the course navigation in your test course.

• Go to the Course Settings, Navigation tab.
• Add or remove items from the course navigation by dragging them up or down.
• Remember to hit the Save button at the bottom!
• Submit a screen shot of your course home page with the reduced navigation.
• Explain why you chose the links in your Course Navigation to be visible for your students.
  • To add an explanation to your screenshot, either paste the screenshot into a Word document and type the explanation below it, or submit the screenshot to this assignment and add your explanation in the Comments area. (See How to Submit an Assignment in Canvas for a refresher if you need it.)

Remember:

• Complete this assignment by modifying the navigation, and submitting both a screen shot and explanation of the choices.
• If you already have a course built in Canvas, you can use an example from that course. Please ensure that it meets the criteria for the assignment.
