Assembling Content: Overview and Objectives
There are multiple ways to assemble content from other sources into your Canvas course.
- The Files tool can be used to store and share various types of material, including spreadsheets, handouts created in a word processor, open-licensed book chapters, and others.
- You can also link content from outside sources, including the Highline Library's extensive collection of journal article databases and streaming video.
- The Pages tool can be used to link to other items both inside and outside of Canvas, and embed content like YouTube videos, images, and other PDF files.
This module addresses the basics of using Files, and demonstrates how to link to library materials and embed content in the Rich Content Editor.
