Student View

Just as we value student-centered learning as part of our pedagogy, we also need to incorporate that same student-centered perspective in our course design. A very effective tool that Canvas provides is the Student View. 

What we see as instructors is not necessarily what students see. For example, our modules appear in green while students see the modules in gray. Also, the navigation bar on the left side of the screen will appear differently for them depending on how we have chosen to edit the navigation bar. Before releasing the course to the students, it's a very good idea to walk through the course via Student View.

The Student View button can be found on the right side of most Canvas screens, next to the search bar:
